BIO

BEHIND THE CAMERA

I am a senior at Penn State University from Somerset, NJ. I am double majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Marketing. My expected graduation is in May of 2017. I love to talk and debate, especially about things like sports and music, and hope to be able to continue with that as my broadcast career moves along in the future.

During the summer of 2016 I interned with A.M. Best Company in Oldwick, NJ and I was able to gain valuable experience both in front and behind the camera. I learned to edit videos, using Sony Vegas for the company website, as well as run the studio board for interviews and webinars. I also was able to shoot, star-in, edit and produce my own ten minute mock episode of what my future television could be like. I also previously interned with WPSU right here in State College. There, I had the opportunity to log clips for Men’s and Women’s basketball as well as spring football practice. I was also able to create highlight packages for various players and National Signing Day for football.

Outside of class, I have worked as reporter for ComRadio Sports as well as the shows ‘For the Record’ and Penn State Sports Night for PSNTV doing work behind the camera. I am also an Bunton-Waller Fellow, a prestigious honor given to qualified diversity students when they are incoming freshman to Penn State. Next semester, I will be working on hosting my own radio for ComRadio, called “Top Five”.
